The Sonic the Hedgehog 2 Cast Is Back
After a great first film, the Sonic the Hedgehog 2 cast is back for round two. Jim Carrey reprises his role as the crazed mad scientist Doctor Robotnik.
He teams up with Knuckles to find the Master Emerald, a power-generating gem that can destroy civilizations. Shemar Moore also returns as Agent Stone, who is trying to double-cross Robotnik.

After a brief hiatus, Carrey returned to the big screen with Dark Crimes (2016). Then, he took on a different tone with the Showtime comedy Kidding (2018–20). He reprised his role as the villainous Dr. Ivo Robotnik for the 2022 sequel.
He is a master of slapstick humor and is able to pull off the crazed scientist perfectly. His character is looking for the Master Emerald, believing that it is his cultural birthright to possess it.
Idris Elba is a welcomed addition to the cast. He plays Knuckles, who is looking for the Master Emerald as well. He uses his same type of nonsensical speech and humor as Drax from the Guardians of the Galaxy. He and Sonic could be a great team for the future.

The first Sonic movie was a success and the sequel is sure to please fans. Ben Schwartz is returning to voice Sonic, and Colleen O’Shaughnessy will reprise her role as Miles “Tails” Prower. Other cast members include Shemar Moore, Natasha Rothwell, Adam Pally and James Marsden.
Idris Elba is a welcome addition to the Sonic team as Knuckles. He is a big star in his own right thanks to his roles in Luther and the Guardians of the Galaxy. His voice fits the character perfectly.
Adam Pally will play Wade Whipple, the sheriff’s deputy in Green Hills. He has a long list of credits that includes Iron Man 3, Band Aid and Dirty Grandpa. Shemar Moore is playing Rachel’s fiance Randall in the film. He has a net worth of $22 million.

After the first movie was a success, Paramount decided to continue the franchise at breakneck speed. They brought in Ben Schwartz to voice Sonic, Jim Carrey to play Dr. Robotnik, and Idris Elba to voice Knuckles.
Natasha Rothwell also returned as Maddie’s best friend, Rachel. She is a bit of a Bridezilla who is not pleased that Tom’s marriage is a sham.
Adam Pally is a well-known actor and writer who has starred on many TV shows, including Happy Endings, The Mindy Project, and Making History. He has also written for The Nanny and Indebted. He would like to return to the Sonic franchise, but he has no idea when that might happen. He’s hoping that the next film will be better than the first one.
Natasha Rothwell
A writer and comedian, Natasha Rothwell has an impressive list of credits. She has written for Saturday Night Live and also starred in the hit series Search Party. She is currently a regular on the popular HBO series Insecure and has appeared in a number of other shows, including Bojack Horseman and Brooklyn Nine-Nine.
She will return to voice Rachel in Sonic the Hedgehog 2. Rothwell has a unique background for her role, having studied theater and worked as a high school drama teacher. She will join Ben Schwartz as Sonic, James Marsden as Tom Wachowski and Tika Sumpter as Maddie Wachowski in the sequel.
Idris Elba will reprise his role as Knuckles, the echidna warrior who is Sonic’s nemesis in the video game franchise. He is a well-known actor and has starred in several movies, including the blockbuster Star Wars movies.

The fast-footed hero of Green Hills returns for a sequel, this time with more powerful emeralds in his possession. The quick-footed hero faces Dr. Robotnik once again along with an Echidna warrior named Knuckles.
Parks and Recreation star Ben Schwartz voices Sonic once again in the upcoming movie. He will be joined by Colleen O’Shaughnessy as Miles “Tails” Prower and Jim Carrey as the evil Doctor Eggman.
Tika Sumpter plays Maddie Wachowski, Tom’s overtly supportive wife who can’t stand all the hijinks Sonic gets involved in. Shemar Moore is Rachel’s fiance, Randall Handel. Adam Pally is Wade Whipple, the sheriff’s deputy in Green Hills. He is also known for his role in Band Aid and Dirty Grandpa. He is worth an estimated $5 million.
